About the Role

The Workforce Planner will play a key role in a major workforce transformation project aimed at enhancing rostering practices for ground staff across airport operations. This project-based role involves configuring new workforce planning systems, coaching operational teams, and supporting implementation across multiple locations. As a strategic partner to business units, the Workforce Planner will leverage technology and process redesign to improve workforce efficiency, employee engagement, and operational outcomes. Working cross-functionally and autonomously, the role builds strong relationships to deliver fit-for-purpose, innovative solutions that support sustainable workforce planning.

Responsibilities

  • Challenge yourself to identify opportunities which will improve vital business outcomes
  • Lead meaningful change by applying your expertise in advanced workforce planning systems to improve rostering outcomes
  • Configuring new workforce planning systems
  • Coaching operational teams
  • Supporting implementation across multiple locations
  • Leverage technology and process redesign to improve workforce efficiency, employee engagement, and operational outcomes
  • Build strong relationships to deliver fit-for-purpose, innovative solutions that support sustainable workforce planning

Requirements

  • Experience and ability to quickly understand and apply complex workforce planning systems, tools, and methodologies
  • Experience with rostering systems including WorkforcePlus and GroundStar Rostering highly desirable
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and/or BI reporting skills
  • Demonstrated capability and commitment to improve roster efficiency and utilisation within a complex organisation
  • Experience in change management, process design and continuous improvement programs highly desirable
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of the operation
  • Aviation experience ideally but open to Operational backgrounds
  • Skills in AI desirable
