About the Role

The Manager of Engineering leads the Engineering team, ensuring product reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement for existing products throughout their lifecycle. This role involves technical and disciplinary leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and contributing to operational excellence and long-term product sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Engineering function to support existing products throughout their lifecycle.
• Manage New Product Introduction Processes for OEM products.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
• Ensure timely evaluation and implementation of engineering changes (ECR/ECO).
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for field issues and quality concerns.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to the Sustaining Engineering team.
• Support employee development, mentoring, and performance management.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and solution-oriented team culture.
• Support hiring and onboarding activities as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering or technical teams.
• Experience in sustaining engineering, product lifecycle management, or a related technical environment.
• Experience working in regulated industries (medical or dental devices preferred).
• Occasional travel is required.

Skills

• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and change management processes.
• Knowledge of FDA, CE, and applicable medical device regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in an international and cross-functional environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Interest in future technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
