About the Role

The Center for Advanced Circuit Therapeutics (C-ACT) at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking an Associate Researcher to perform quantitative analyses of structural, diffusion, and functional brain images. This role involves developing and implementing treatment selection biomarkers, individualized multimodal surgical targeting methods, and longitudinal outcome metrics for neuropsychiatric disorders. It offers an excellent opportunity to participate in cutting-edge imaging research within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data quality control and manage the database server.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary imaging data collection, preprocessing, and analysis using existing software packages.
  • Run automated imaging pipelines for testing predefined imaging biomarkers.
  • Process imaging data in real-time within the operating room for surgical targeting.
  • Perform statistical analysis of multimodal imaging data for surgical targeting and deep brain stimulation parameter optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in science or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, neuroscience, or a related field with a focus on medical image analysis in neuroimaging.
  • Experience coding in shell script and/or using JAVA, Python, and image processing software packages (Afni, FLS, SPM, etc.).
