Responsibilities
- Assists on delivering Epic application solutions and other 3rd party clinical systems by investigating processes to understand data and communications flow.
- Fulfills multiple roles throughout the development, implementation, management, and on-going support of comprehensive clinical information systems.
- Gains knowledge of the Epic EMR software, organizational operations, and workflow.
- Works closely with the Epic project team's application analysts and clinical leaders to translate business needs into EMR functionality.
- Participates in the development of workflows, system configuration, and change documentation.
- Trains staff on EPIC clinical application functionality.
- Analyzes procedures and problems within manual/automated health care systems and recommends resolutions.
- Stays current with the system and/or application and interfaces with appropriate departmental and external analysts.
- Employs excellent communication skills in sharing information with users.
- Works independently in completing project tasks.
- Oversees implementation support and maintenance of Epic clinical system software.
- Performs quality assurance and reviews releases of new functionality.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of increasingly responsible management experience, with a focus on Epic application systems in a healthcare environment.
- Experience in project and change management.
- Familiarity with provider and clinical workflow and organizational processes.
- Subject matter expertise in multiple clinical and ancillary application modules/solutions with experiences in Epic a plus.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to present complex clinical systems technology issues clearly.
- Proficiency in more than two computer environments or platforms.
- Ability to work with a computer terminal for extended periods.
