About the Role

LCRA's Substation Engineering group plays a key role in maintaining and advancing LCRA's substation infrastructure, ensuring reliable electricity and supporting communities across Texas. Responsibilities

  • Develop design projects with sophisticated elements, applying industry standards and established procedures.
  • Conduct engineering studies using group expertise.
  • Collaborate to establish comprehensive design criteria and standards.
  • Investigate, assess, and resolve engineering issues.
  • Propose innovative practices and procedures to optimize performance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
  • Driver's license

Skills

  • Substation research and development

  • Relevant engineering codes

Education Level

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
