Responsibilities

  • Operates various CT / computer equipment and produces radiographic images of designated areas of anatomy on patients of all ages.
  • Accepts assignments to various locations within the Garnet Health Medical Center system to include all off-site facilities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Six (6) months CT scan experience preferred or completion of a CT scan training program inclusive of didactic and clinical rotation or commitment to complete the Garnet Health CT scan training program.
  • ARRT (R) required (New Graduates must obtain the ARRT (R) registry within 3 months from date of hire).
  • ARRT (CT) Certification required within 18 months of hire.
  • BLS required within 30 days from date of hire or transfer.
  • NYS DOH Injection license required within 3 months from date of hire.
  • On feet most of the time.
  • Full ROM required in transferring and moving patients of all weights.
  • Visual and auditory acuity.
  • Sitting while preparing reports.
  • Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated or ventilated facility.
  • No routine exposure to hazards.
  • Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks.
  • Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment.
  • Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking.
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to organize and synthesize new information.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility.
