About the Role

The Technical Marketing team collaborates with product, sales, and marketing to ensure customers understand the technical aspects of our products. Our objective is to make sure the technical buyer comprehends how Cloudflare's products and solutions align with their business needs. We are a highly technical group that engages with all facets of Cloudflare's technology.

Responsibilities

  • Gain experience with all of Cloudflare's technology and work with the people that build it.
  • Understand complex technologies and explain them in simple terms, aligning solutions to customer problems.
  • Explore real-world uses of AI tools and understand how to deploy them.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement automation to reduce the time it takes for technical sales to learn our solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and objectives, ensuring relevant and impactful content.
  • Partner with our Product Management and Special Projects team to improve strategies, products, and services.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Technical Communication, Business Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Available for a full-time 12-week internship, working from our San Francisco office 3-5 days a week during the summer (Sept-Dec).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in operating systems, networking, Internet technologies (SSL/TLS/HTTP/SSH etc) and ability to write code to solve simple problems.
  • Previous experience in technical & product marketing/product management is a plus.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative cloud services company.
  • This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
