About the Role

This role provides food service that is safe, accurate, and responsive to customer and patient needs. Responsibilities may include processing meal orders, preparing formula and human milk orders, and working on the trayline to ensure accuracy. This position also maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment, and serves as an ambassador for the department of Nutrition and Food Services.

Responsibilities

  • Process patient and guest meal orders using phone, foodservice software, and electronic health record.
  • Prepare and mix patient formula orders.
  • Prepare and fortify human milk orders.
  • Work on trayline to check meal trays for accuracy.
  • Deploy trays from kitchen to tray passers using scanners, meal carts, and other transport equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer, patient, and staff interactions.

Requirements

  • Work experience or community service that has prepared candidates to contribute to UCSF's PRIDE values.
