About the Role

The Walleye Stock Competition is a 10-week, long/short stock-picking competition for students in the graduating class of 2029. Teams will select sectors, rate securities weekly, and write earnings preview pitches. Scoring is based on book performance and pitch quality.

Responsibilities

  • Select 15 names per sector from a provided basket of securities.
  • Rate every name in their sectors weekly (Strong Buy, Buy, Neutral, Sell, Strong Sell).
  • Write a one-time earnings preview pitch for two high-conviction ideas.

Requirements

  • Teams may have 1-3 members.
  • All teammates must attend the same school.
  • All team members must be in the graduating class of 2029.
  • Registration requires all team member names, emails, and resumes.
  • Registration requires a team name.
  • Registration requires two sectors of choice.
