Responsibilities
- Clean allocated areas of the school following Health & Safety guidelines.
- Safely use chemicals, cleaning materials, and PPE as instructed.
- Operate cleaning machinery for soft and hard surfaces, adhering to Health & Safety guidelines.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards for all cleaning equipment and closets.
- Immediately report hazards, defects, or equipment breakdowns to the Operations Manager.
- Perform tasks including vacuum cleaning, spot cleaning, wiping furniture, emptying bins, cleaning toilets, mopping floors, and replenishing supplies.
- Check and close windows, and switch off lights after work.
- Undertake additional duties as allocated, which may include floor stripping/sealing, high-level dusting, and wall washing during school closures.
Requirements
- Adherence to Health & Safety guidelines.
- Ability to safely use chemicals and cleaning materials.
- Proficiency in operating cleaning machinery.
- Ability to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
- Capability to report hazards and defects promptly.
- Willingness to perform a variety of cleaning tasks.
- Availability to work during school closure periods for specialized cleaning.
