Responsibilities

  • Clean allocated areas of the school following Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Safely use chemicals, cleaning materials, and PPE as instructed.
  • Operate cleaning machinery for soft and hard surfaces, adhering to Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards for all cleaning equipment and closets.
  • Immediately report hazards, defects, or equipment breakdowns to the Operations Manager.
  • Perform tasks including vacuum cleaning, spot cleaning, wiping furniture, emptying bins, cleaning toilets, mopping floors, and replenishing supplies.
  • Check and close windows, and switch off lights after work.
  • Undertake additional duties as allocated, which may include floor stripping/sealing, high-level dusting, and wall washing during school closures.

Requirements

  • Adherence to Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to safely use chemicals and cleaning materials.
  • Proficiency in operating cleaning machinery.
  • Ability to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
  • Capability to report hazards and defects promptly.
  • Willingness to perform a variety of cleaning tasks.
  • Availability to work during school closure periods for specialized cleaning.
