About the Role
The Fueler II is responsible for fueling company vehicles and supporting fleet fueling operations. This role involves operating company buses and vans to transport vehicles for fueling, monitoring fuel and fluid levels, and performing duties in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Fuel company vehicles in all weather conditions.
- Operate company buses and vans to transport vehicles to and from fueling locations.
- Check and replenish vehicle oil and other fluid levels.
- Check dates on DOT stickers and vehicle registrations.
- Maintain records of fueling operations, including fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle information.
- Record fueling and vehicle maintenance information using company-issued technology.
- Maintain cleanliness of shop and fueling areas.
- Assist shop with general fleet support duties, including simple vehicle repairs.
- Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections on company vehicles.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid New York State Commercial Driver License (CDL) with any required endorsements.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely handle and dispense diesel fuel and regular gasoline.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Previous commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Experience fueling commercial vehicles or fleet equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe fuel handling practices is preferred.
- Experience maintaining fueling records or inventory is preferred.
