About the Role

This role involves working closely with the Business on the structuring, sale, negotiation, documentation, and execution of a wide range of equity products, with a primary focus on OTC equity derivatives and swaps, cash and synthetic prime brokerage, equity and fund-linked loans, structured notes, and proprietary indices. You will also advise on the creation, structuring, regulatory analysis, and launch of new products and businesses, interpret and implement regulatory changes impacting Equities businesses, and advise internally on legal and regulatory issues, developments, and risks.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Business with respect to the structuring, sale, negotiation, documentation and execution of a wide range of equity products, with a primary focus on OTC equity derivatives and swaps, cash and synthetic prime brokerage, equity and fund-linked loans, structured notes and proprietary indices
  • Advise and assist in the creation, structuring, regulatory analysis and launch of new products and businesses
  • Interpret, educate and assist with the implementation of regulatory changes that impact Equities businesses
  • Advise the Business, Risk, Compliance and others internally regarding legal and regulatory issues, developments and risks relating to Equities businesses
  • Assist with ongoing advocacy efforts relating to regulatory changes impacting Equities businesses

Requirements

  • Strong experience with equity products, including OTC derivatives and swaps
  • Familiarity with ISDA and other industry documentation
  • Familiarity with corporate, securities, creditor, finance and bankruptcy laws and related issues
  • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -- ability to interact effectively and work collaboratively with all levels of staff and management
  • Ability to work independently and respond proactively to business needs
  • Strong team player

  • $280,000 - $350,000 per year
