About the Role

The Clinical Training Manager is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing clinical training programs to support the Acute Urology and Home Care sales teams. This role connects clinical expertise with commercial strategy, ensuring sales representatives and clinical team members are equipped to effectively position and support products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement clinical training programs tailored to the needs of the Acute Urology and Home Care sales teams.
  • Support onboarding for new hires, including clinical product training, and BD Clinical Connect Program.
  • Conduct ongoing training sessions to reinforce clinical knowledge and address evolving market needs.
  • Partner with Commercial Excellence Sales Trainers, Marketing, Sales Leadership, and Clinical Leadership to ensure training content supports business strategy.
  • Serve as a clinical subject matter expert during product launches, sales meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Provide in-field coaching and support to new associates, including ride-a longs and post-training reinforcement.
  • Act as a liaison between the field and internal teams to identify knowledge gaps and training opportunities.
  • Track and report on training effectiveness using KPIs such as knowledge retention, sales performance, and field feedback.
  • Continuously refine training strategies based on data and evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Life Sciences, or related field (RN or clinical background preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in clinical education, sales training, or a related role within the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of urology and/or home care clinical environments.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (depending on business needs).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong listening and assessment skills.
  • Strong questioning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to handle and drive multiple projects, work under deadlines and manage change.
  • Proven ability to establish goals, set clear expectations, prioritize activities and follow-through with timely execution of cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability/willingness to travel.
  • Detailed project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently; manage and direct supportive staff.
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer and tablet with intermediate level of keyboarding skills, MS Excel, MS Word, PS PowerPoint and SFDC.

Skills

  • Experience with LMS platforms and virtual training tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Articulate).
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Previous experience supporting sales teams in a matrixed organization.
