About the Role
This is an influential support role, working collaboratively with Village Managers to build capability and promote consistent, high-quality operations in our communities where older people can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational guidance and coaching to Village Managers across the region
- Support villages to achieve occupancy, sales and financial targets
- Support the development of extra services, including food and beverage operations, that enhance the resident experience and respond to the evolving needs and expectations of our residents
- Promote compliance with the Retirement Villages Act, Residential Tenancies Act and internal safety systems
- Support the onboarding of new Village Managers and provide operational support by backfilling Village Manager roles during periods of leave
- Work with Marketing, Finance, Property, HR and Home & Community teams to support village performance
- Assist with asset management planning, preventative maintenance, budgets and capital works projects
- Represent Retirement Living as a subject matter expert at meetings, resident forums and conferences when required
Requirements
- Previous management experience in retirement living, hospitality or a similar operational environment
- Strong working knowledge of the NSW Retirement Villages Act
- Budget, financial management and asset management experience
- High level written and verbal communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence working with systems
- Ability to work autonomously while building positive relationships across teams
- A results-focused, customer-focused and values-led approach
- Knowledge of Home Care Packages would be highly regarded
- Driver’s license
