About the Role
Support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy for Alera Group's Property & Casualty team, helping businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and plan confidently.
Responsibilities
- Support client service activities to meet client needs with exceptional service.
- Assist with new business and renewal processes, including support for assigned program business.
- Act as a liaison with account managers and carrier partners to support client service objectives.
- Ensure client requests, service needs, and follow-up items are handled accurately and timely.
- Support strong client and carrier relationships through responsive communication and reliable service.
- Maintain current knowledge and efficient use of client management systems for accurate documentation and workflow compliance.
- Manage correspondence in a timely manner, including email and client document management system activity.
- Support use of carrier websites for rating, billing, endorsements, retrieval of loss runs, and related service needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support orderly account records.
- Use CSR24 and other client service tools accurately to support service delivery.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through in daily responsibilities.
- Seize training opportunities for personal and professional development.
- Support team success by building strong relationships and sharing knowledge, resources, and techniques.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment through communication, teamwork, and accountability.
- Identify opportunities to improve service processes, client responsiveness, and operational consistency.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance.
- New York State Property & Casualty license.
- Experience supporting client service, account management, or insurance service activities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to shift focus and manage workload to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal teams and carrier partners.
- Active State Property & Casualty License.
- Ability to obtain required licensure within 6 months of hire.
- Ongoing continuing education to maintain active status.
