About the Role

The Head of Operations is responsible for orchestrating the CEO's vision for company scaling, implementing plans across departments, setting timelines, and ensuring timely delivery of initiatives. This role spans international expansion, compliance, tooling, infrastructure programs, policy design, and AI-powered process improvements. The Head of Operations will directly lead the Team Success, IT, and Recruitment departments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the delivery of the CEO's cross-departmental initiatives end-to-end, including ownership, timelines, success criteria, and on-time completion.
  • Drive operational initiatives across multiple departments, such as international expansion, compliance, insurance, benefits, IT projects, office setup, policy design, and AI adoption.
  • Partner with department leadership (Production, Finance, Legal, BD, Team Success, IT, Recruitment) to align priorities and deliver on commitments.
  • Maintain proactive reporting on operational initiatives, including status, decisions needed, and upcoming milestones.
  • Directly manage Team Success, IT, and Recruitment, providing people leadership, setting direction, developing team leads, and driving performance and culture.
  • Set and hold operational KPIs for each function, ensuring proper staffing, scalable structure, and integration with the company.
  • Support Team Success in delivering strong culture, engagement, team lifecycle processes, and performance frameworks.
  • Support IT in delivering reliable infrastructure, cybersecurity, hardware/software provisioning, and scalable support.
  • Support Recruitment in meeting hiring plans with a strong candidate experience and speed.
  • Own operational governance and international compliance across geographies, including employment structures, contractor frameworks, and tax/legal alignment.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Team Success to ensure operational processes meet legal, security, and compliance standards.
  • Anticipate and establish operational needs for expansion, including new geographies, employment structures, and office footprints.
  • Own operational KPIs and infrastructure, including dashboards, reporting cadences, quarterly business reviews, and operational rhythms.
  • Drive the operational execution of quarterly commitments and cross-functional priorities.
  • Build the company's operational muscle through systems, standards, and rhythms that support scalability.
  • Champion the integration of AI tools across operational processes, including hiring, IT support, compliance, reporting, and knowledge management.
  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities to identify opportunities for compressing operational work and enabling focus on higher-value activities.
  • Partner with technical leadership on AI adoption programs and their operational rollout.
  • Model AI-forward operating habits, encouraging experimentation, curiosity, and thoughtful adoption.

Requirements

  • 8-15 years of operational leadership experience in a services, co-development, or growth-stage tech company.
  • Proven track record of driving large cross-functional programs to completion in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience managing Team Success (HR), IT, and Recruitment functions, or a subset thereof, with people management accountability.
  • Strong track record of alignment across Legal, Finance, HR, IT, and Production on cross-functional initiatives.
  • International operations experience, including employment structures, contractor compliance, and multi-country frameworks.
  • AI-forward and technically curious, with experience using AI tools and introducing them to teams.
  • Strong operational reporting habits and clear communication with executive leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth services business.
