About the Role
FSA Federal is seeking a Law Clerk to support the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) in a nationwide law enforcement initiative that removes the tools of crime from criminal organizations.
Responsibilities
- Assists attorneys with the litigation process under supervision.
- Reviews the work of paralegals and clerks.
- Prepares all documents related to the litigation process, including drafting motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
- Screens documents for privilege.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess a Law Degree or be a student at an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year completed.
- Experience conducting legal research using various research tools and law library resources.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including legal writing.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other common software applications, including databases.
- Ability to work in a team environment, deliver high-quality work, and maintain a professional disposition under extreme pressure.
- Requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Requires a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.
