Responsibilities
- Teach a rigorous college preparatory curriculum aligned with school and New York State standards.
- Deliver high-quality and engaging instruction.
- Collaborate with a team of teachers for continuous professional and personal growth.
- Utilize data to inform instructional decisions.
- Continuously assess student progress and communicate findings to families and colleagues.
- Provide individualized or small group instruction to students needing extra support.
- Model KIPP NYC's character strengths in all interactions.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills conducive to a collegial working environment.
- Possess KIPP NYC's valued character traits: zest, grit, hope, social intelligence, gratitude, and a sense of humor.
- New York State teacher certification in the appropriate content area.
- A passion for being part of a team-oriented, mission-driven school culture.
