About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Teach a rigorous college preparatory curriculum aligned with school and New York State standards.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills conducive to a collegial working environment.
  • Possess character traits such as zest, grit, hope, social intelligence, gratitude, and a sense of humor.
  • At least two years of teaching experience is strongly preferred.
  • New York State teacher certification in the appropriate content area is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A passion for contributing to a team-oriented, mission-driven school culture.
  • A strong desire for professional development within the KIPP NYC team.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student achievement within KIPP NYC communities.
