About the Role
The Family Office Consultant will serve as a strategic advisor and technology specialist, leveraging expertise in the Addepar and Arch platforms to optimize our clients' financial and performance reporting. This role is responsible for the implementation, administration, and data management of these software systems, ensuring accurate, transparent, and comprehensive reporting for ultra-high-net-worth clients. This team member will interface regularly with 1900 family office clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence, review investment strategy and assess risk to help clients with investment allocation decisions
- Collect and review offering documents, partnership agreements, and fund private placement memorandums to understand structure and terms
- Analyze historical performance data and benchmark against industry standards to assess risk and potential returns
- Evaluate the track record and reputation of asset managers or sponsors
- Assess liquidity provisions, redemption terms and exit strategies
- Prepare due diligence summaries outlining key findings
- Lead the end-to-end implementation and onboarding process for new family office clients onto the Addepar and Arch platforms
- Develop an understanding of the legal entity structures of the family
- Coordinate data aggregation and reconciliation from various sources, including accountants, custodians, private equity funds, and other financial institutions
- Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring a seamless transition and successful project delivery for each client
- Prepare, reconcile, and validate complex investment performance reports, cash flow analysis and consolidated net worth statements using Addepar
- Process and reconcile complex transactions for illiquid and alternative assets, such as private equity, venture capital, and real estate
- Leverage Arch to manage and report on illiquid and alternative investments, including capital calls, distributions, and fund performance
- Generate custom reports and analytical views to support the investment team's requests and provide clients with timely, accurate insights
- Act as a "super-user" for Addepar and Arch, providing training and support to client teams and internal staff
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and system issues, identifying opportunities to improve workflows and data quality
- Stay current on platform updates and enhancements to recommend strategic improvements and additional features to clients
- Interface directly with clients to understand their needs and translate them into actionable solutions
- Communicate complex financial and technical concepts clearly and concisely to clients and stakeholders with varying levels of expertise
- Manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines and confidentiality standards
- Monitor and report on cash flow across multiple family accounts and entities
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in wealth management, private equity, financial services, or consulting, with specific exposure to ultra-high-net-worth individuals or family offices
- Proven experience with investment and portfolio performance reporting, specifically relating to management and reporting on alternative investments
- Working knowledge of valuation principles for alternative assets and familiarity with financial statement reporting
- Experience with other portfolio management systems or data integration tools is a plus
- MBA, CPA, CAIA, or other relevant certifications
- Knowledge of accounting for complex entity structures common in family offices, such as LLCs, partnerships, and trusts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in client-facing roles
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities with exceptional attention to detail

- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proactive, forward‑thinking, and able to anticipate needs or challenges

- Experienced in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Must be able to reach, bend, and lift up to 15lbs
- Must be able to sit in front of a computer most of the day
- Must be able to speak to and hear customers
- Must be mobile in an office environment to access file cabinets, office machines, and other equipment used
- Must be able to type on a keyboard and read a computer screen
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data modeling and analysis
- Familiarity with Quick Books, Addepar and Arch a plus
