About the Role

UGL's Utilities business is a leader in Australia's energy transition, providing essential design and construction services for critical power sector infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager to lead the Pre-Contracts team, shape work-winning strategies, and manage bid and tendering processes to achieve revenue, margin, and win rate targets.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively map out all suitable/eligible markets or target clients for UGL.
  • Identify UGL’s strengths and capabilities and utilise as differentiators throughout the tender submissions.
  • Ensure that all parts of each submission are interconnected with robust and substantiated strategic elements.
  • Work closely with the estimation and commercial teams to develop a competitive and sustainable commercial proposal.
  • Organise and manage the technical information required, ensuring accurate cost estimates, delivery strategies and supporting documentation are delivered within tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working in Business Development, Account Management or Project experience within utilities/major infrastructure industry within Australia.
  • Ability to drive bid strategy incorporating – partnering, client engagement, delivery/commercial solutions.
  • Capability to build and work within a team environment ensuring each team member contributes to the best of their ability.
