About the Role

The Research Analyst provides quantitative and qualitative research insights to support sales and marketing teams within a fast-paced, exciting company at the forefront of the audio landscape. This role offers opportunities to develop skills in marketing and media research, including syndicated research, primary research projects, and advertising effectiveness studies across various categories and brands.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize primary and syndicated research tools to provide quantitative and qualitative data for prospective and current advertisers
  • Create insightful data-driven presentations that meet the needs and objectives of internal sales teams, agencies, and clients
  • Fulfill ad-hoc sales research requests across a variety of data types, including audience metrics, consumer insights, competitive advertising spend, targeting, and overall marketplace trends
  • Assist with strategy and execution of custom ad effectiveness projects for a large portfolio of accounts in various categories
  • Handle brand lift studies, including methodology design, survey development, data analysis, and presenting results
  • Utilize attribution measurement tools to evaluate and optimize campaign performance
  • Educate and partner with marketing and sales staff on how best to utilize the quantitative and qualitative analytics provided

Requirements

  • Experience with media research and software programs, including Nielsen Audio, Scarborough, MRI-Simmons, ACT 1, Media Monitors, Media Radar, and comScore is desired
  • Knowledge in custom study process including project methodology, questionnaire development, sample collection, and data analysis
  • Prior exposure to vendors such as DISQO, Dynata, and Nielsen
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint is a must
  • Proficiency with other statistics and analytics resources is a plus
  • Strong combination of analytical aptitude and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to articulate our “story” across assets, platforms, and audiences
  • Strong versatility and ability to handle multiple types of assignments
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, changing priorities, and a continual sense of urgency
  • A passion for research and interest in developing research career
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return
  • Business insight and ability to apply general knowledge of business
  • Individual accountability and understanding of when to seek guidance
  • Skills managing assigned projects to completion using instruction, guidance, and direction
  • Skills to solve problems within standardized procedures and practices
