About the Role
As a Merchandiser Floater, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, while also supporting fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasional opportunities to work with other companies' products may arise.
Responsibilities
- Perform service work in Hallmark departments within various retail stores.
- Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a mobile device.
- Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys via technology.
- Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
- Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Provide additional support and extended hours during peak holiday seasons (Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
- Participate in department resets, including building fixtures, relocating products, and resetting card sections, with advance notification.
- Support fellow merchandisers in their territories as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores.
- Must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Required to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday.
- May be required to climb stairs and step ladders.
- Availability required the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Must show how qualifications are met via resume, document upload, or application fields.
- Accepted file types for uploads are DOCX and PDF.
- Hired individuals must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
- Hallmark does not generally provide sponsorship for employment.
- Employment is contingent upon signing the Employment Agreement, agreement to arbitrate, completing Form I-9, and passing a pre-employment background check.
