About the Role

Group Leaders are dynamic youth workers committed to delivering high quality, academically aligned arts, performance arts, sports, and/or STEM instruction to elementary, middle, or high school youth within a positive youth development and social emotional literacy framework. This role involves assisting Activity Specialists and/or Teaching Artists in program delivery, ensuring participant safety, facilitating groups, and adhering to lesson plans and administrative procedures.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage program participants to foster positive youth development.
Prepare materials and space for various age-appropriate activities.
Assist with planning, development, and implementation of activities and events.
Support effective classroom management and contribute to a positive environment.
Attend staff meetings, professional development, training sessions, and special events.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children and/or youth in a professional setting.
Strong ability to form and maintain positive, professional relationships with children, youth, families, and other stakeholders.
Responsible, organized, and demonstrate positive communication skills.
Able to set an example in all areas, including timeliness, attendance, and professionalism.
Ability to relate to officials, staff, and the public in a courteous manner.
