About the Role
Provides for the well-being and comfort of staff, students, and visitors by maintaining all buildings and grounds for work, school, and residence.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on products and buildings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions.
- Repair and service landscape, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain buildings by painting, occasional cleaning, completing repairs and maintenance requests, performing preventive maintenance, and restocking paper products.
- Perform general carpentry by marking, cutting, assembling, and fastening materials.
- Perform minor repairs to electrical systems by diagnosing and inspecting faulty equipment.
- Maintain plumbing systems by repairing faucets and opening clogged drains.
- Maintain building climate by servicing HVAC systems.
- Ensure operation of seasonal equipment by performing maintenance and cleaning.
- Maintain landscape and roads by removing brush, performing installations, trimming trees, and operating heavy equipment for grading, hauling, and snow removal.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through training, workshops, publications, and networking.
- Protect the credibility of the mission by complying with the standard of conduct and setting an example consistent with values and beliefs.
- Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as directed or assigned.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of maintenance or relatable experience.
- Experience making structural repairs to buildings.
- General carpentry skills.
- Experience servicing HVAC systems.
- Experience using landscaping tools and machines.
