About the Role

Floor Managers lead Front of House (FOH) members to ensure a warm, welcoming, efficient, and profitable operation. They manage daily operations and longer-term projects, uphold high standards, and foster a positive environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent overall store performance.
  • Manage profit and loss through cash control, inventory management, labor management, scheduling, and financial report review.
  • Maintain an "A" health inspection rating.
  • Minimize Fair Workweek premiums.
  • Maintain satisfactory Secret Shopper and Steritech averages.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Take customer orders, ensure fast and accurate service, and maintain positive guest relations.
  • Answer customer questions and provide information on store policies and preparation processes.
  • Resolve guest complaints or concerns.
  • Effectively train, supervise, and mentor all bar staff members.
  • Hold employees accountable to Company standards using the corrective action process.
  • Conduct performance appraisals.
  • Celebrate employee successes.
  • Lead by example.
  • Delegate fairly and appropriately.
  • Encourage employee skill development and growth within the Company.
  • Work as a team member to support other employees.
  • Follow the direction of your GM/DM.
  • Communicate challenges and successes.
  • Be respectful of all guests, employees, vendors, and supervisors.
  • Take ownership over assigned tasks.
  • Hold self to the highest standard of performance.
  • Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all Company standards.
  • Be knowledgeable of and adhere to FGNY House Rules and the Employee Handbook.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Verify legal drinking age by checking identification for customers appearing under 30.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all bar offerings.
  • Take guest orders and input them into the POS with 100% accuracy.
  • Handle guests' special dietary needs, allergies, or requests with sensitivity.
  • Attend mandatory meetings, including staff and leadership meetings.
  • Perform opening and closing duties to Company standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift 50+ pounds for up to 10 hours per shift with breaks.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced and noisy environment.
  • Tolerance to temperature fluctuations.
  • Ability to work with hazardous substances such as hot oil.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems, such as cash registers.
  • Possess finger dexterity.
  • Possess close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable schedules as needed.
  • Maintain general knowledge of FGNY: locations, transportation, management team, etc.
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures, as well as City, State, and Federal laws and mandates.
