About the Role
The MJHS Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in Brooklyn, NY, provides quality and compassionate care for individuals needing short-term or long-term inpatient care. This role is an 1199 represented position offering an excellent compensation and benefits package. MJHS companies are qualified employers under the Federal Government’s Paid Student Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to residents/patients in a long-term care facility under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, Nurse Coordinator, and/or RN.
- Recognize changes in resident/patient's condition and respond appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with the nurse manager and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient/resident needs and/or changes in condition.
- Appropriately assign duties to Certified Nurse Assistants based on resident/patient needs, staff availability, and unit needs.
Requirements
- NYS LPN license required.
- Good clinical patient care skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and write in English is required.
- Valid BCLS.
