About the Role
Under guidance, is responsible for the management of the operational, financial, and administrative activities of a clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with regulatory audits/inspections and internal reviews.
- Develops and recommends corrective action plans to address deficiencies.
- Serves as liaison to audit team(s) during on-site visits.
- Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents.
- Orders supplies/equipment/reagents as authorized or escalates needs.
- Receives supply orders and confirms accuracy of delivery.
- Assists with cost control.
- Ensures facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition.
- Coordinates preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Performs minor repairs if qualified.
- Advises on upgrades for performance enhancements.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of essential computer systems, software, and policies.
- Utilizes financial reports to develop action plans for performance improvement.
- Oversees and/or approves procurement and disbursement/reimbursement activities.
- Ensures proper internal controls for financial transactions.
- Resolves financial issues.
- Monitors quality of service levels through satisfaction surveys, customer comments, and observation.
- Recommends strategies responsive to quality of service needs.
- Ensures practice compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Manages the annual budget and monitors variances.
Requirements
- Approximately 3-5 years of related health care practice management experience.
- Significant related experience can substitute for formal education.
Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical billing procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of third party professional fee billing.
