About the Role
As a Junior Software Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, working on modern web applications, cloud technologies, business intelligence solutions, and Generative AI initiatives. You will contribute to the development and enhancement of mission-critical applications supporting a leading law firm, working across both frontend and backend technologies, participating in cloud deployments, and supporting reporting and analytics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based applications using C# and .NET.
- Design, build, and support APIs that power business applications.
- Participate in application modernization by migrating existing systems to ReactJS and Next.js.
- Support and maintain legacy applications built with MVC and AngularJS.
- Develop and maintain reports using Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Query, manage, and manipulate data within SQL databases.
- Contribute to Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Assist with support and maintenance of Azure-hosted applications, including App Services and Functions.
- Work with Docker and Azure Container Registry (ACR).
- Support and enhance Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and developers to deliver software solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve software defects.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing applications and processes.
- Support innovative initiatives involving Generative AI technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience developing software solutions through professional, internship, or academic project work preferred.
- Hands-on experience with C#/.NET, web application development, and API integration.
- Experience building responsive applications using React, Next.js, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL, database management, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application environments.
- Experience with Power BI, SSRS, and/or Power Platform solutions.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Agile development practices, and modern software delivery processes preferred.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Generative AI technologies, and professional services or legal industry environments.
- Self-motivated with a passion for growth and willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and software development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret issues and develop applicable or appropriate recommendations and solutions.
