About the Role

Carnegie Hall seeks a Coordinator, Development to provide general and specialized support to the Chief Development Officer, the Development Department, and the office of the Executive and Artistic Director.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments and meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes.
  • Assist with writing and coordinating the production of donor reports, solicitation letters, and acknowledgment letters.
  • Support prospect research and proposal development for Development departments.
  • Coordinate and streamline communications within the Development Department and with other Administration departments.
  • Track open projects and correspondence within the department and externally.
  • Create monthly expense statements for the Chief Development Officer.
  • Assist with database entry and maintenance of donor lists, ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain files and database portfolio.
  • Provide support during the Executive Assistant's absence.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Assist with and attend performances and events as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise excellent judgment, decorum, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to accurately handle diverse projects and a large volume of detailed work simultaneously.
  • Ability to use good judgment in prioritizing work.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with information systems and software systems.
