About the Role
As an OB/GYN Sonographer at Canandaigua Medical Group, you will perform patient assessments, acquire and analyze ultrasound data, and provide findings to physicians to aid in diagnosis and management. You will work in a caring, modern, high-tech environment with an excellent staffing model and no on-call requirements.
Responsibilities
- Performs patient assessments, acquires and analyzes data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies.
- Provides a summary of findings to the physician to aid in patient diagnosis and management.
- Uses independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods to produce high-quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making & prioritizing assignments.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop & maintain collaborative working relationships with all team members & medical staff.
- Actively guards confidentiality of sensitive information, including patients, staff, and the health system.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient, understanding principles of growth and development over the life span.
- Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and interprets each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs.
- Demonstrates computer knowledge & skills including EMR modules & the PACS system.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound program or registered with equivalent ultrasound experience required.
- Certified with ARDMS required.
- BLS certification required.
- Registered in OB/GYN within one year.
- Registered in Abdomen preferred.
- Maintains professional credentials specifically related to Sonography & participates in continuing education activities through professional societies & organizations.
- Nuchal Translucency and CLEAR certification preferred.
- Minimum of one year Ultrasound experience preferred.
- Must be able to perform without physical limitations.
