About the Role
Provides quality nursing care to promote comfort, healing, and achieve optimal clinical outcomes under the direction of the Practice Supervisor. Maintains patient confidentiality and utilizes the nursing process to ensure safe and effective care. Educates patients and families, and engages in continuous learning to maintain expertise. Collaborates within a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Use the nursing process and approved nursing standards to provide safe and successful quality care.
- Provide ongoing education to both the patient and their families.
- Maintain an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education, inservice programs, departmental competencies, and self-development activities.
- Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide quality patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current NYS license.
- One year experience.
- Ability to perform technical aspects of position.
- Position requires excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to facilitate project management, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
- Familiarity with JCAHO requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Computer literacy.
