About the Role
The Manager, Programmatic owns strategic planning and campaign execution for their assigned client. This position is both strategic and tactical, requiring the Manager to generate strategic insights and implement campaigns with support from Programmatic Analysts. Managers will also train Analysts on client requirements, optimization strategies, and best practices for client communication.
Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate digital strategies and rational for tactical approaches for each campaign
- Execute, manage, and optimize online media campaigns and programs for agency clients
- Develop, grow, and maintain relationships through exceptional client service
- Formulate proposals for new client opportunities
- Manage the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign artifacts and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch
- Partner with Analytics team on campaign measurement reporting and insights generation
- Provide regular insights to clients detailing performance, campaign optimizations, and new opportunities
- Traffic campaign tags into ad exchange environments
- Work with media partners to ensure accurate platform implementation
- Troubleshoot issues on all pre-production and live campaigns
- Oversee the campaign QA process to ensure accurate campaign implementation, pacing and performance
- Manage and evaluate campaign budget and spend tracking, and recommend channel allocations
- Generate and manage monthly bill/pay and spend reporting in coordination with Analyst
- Lead and assist in coaching, managing, and educating Analysts and Sr. Analysts
- Join internal and client discussions to ensure alignment to project plans, identify risks, and move forward with any escalations/resolutions needed
- Participate in regular knowledge share sessions to share and learn new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience managing and activating full-funnel Programmatic campaigns for Display, Video, Connected TV, etc.
- Working knowledge in DSPs and similar technologies, in particular The Trade Desk and DV360
- Client-facing experience with the ability to identify risks and effectively manage through issues
- Strong budget management experience, including forecasting and actualizing budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel
- Proven experience in effectively coaching and developing others, as this role will involve managing at least 1-2 additional team members
- Understanding of traditional and interactive media planning elements
- Strong analytics, organizational, and communication skills, as well as project management skills
- Resourceful, curious, and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
