About the Role
Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sourcing Associate to support the development and execution of slippers and socks from initial costing through production. This role will partner closely with Sales, Design, QA, Logistics, Production, and overseas factories to develop accurate costings, negotiate competitive pricing, manage sourcing activities, and ensure products are delivered on time.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to translate product briefs into accurate, factory-ready costing.
- Build and validate detailed cost breakdowns, including materials and packaging.
- Collaborate with overseas factories to achieve competitive pricing while meeting delivery requirements.
- Maintain daily communication with overseas factories to support sourcing, costing, price negotiations, and on-time delivery.
- Prepare and maintain cost sheets, quotations, margin analyses, sourcing reports, and tracking tools.
- Partner with Design on sampling, revisions, approvals, and sourcing recommendations.
- Maintain accurate costing, delivery, and sourcing data while managing timelines and documentation to support on-time execution.
- Collaborate with Design, Sales, QA, Logistics, and Production through cross-functional meetings to ensure timely execution.
- Provide administrative support to the sourcing team, including meeting preparation, file organization, reporting, and calendar management.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in sourcing, costing, or vendor management within footwear, slippers, or shoes.
- Experience working directly with overseas factories.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially Excel (formulas, data management, and formatting), Outlook.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proactive, flexible, and dependable team player with a positive attitude.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
