About the Role
As a T&M Specialist, you will actively drive and manage the sales process for Test & Measurement products with Account Managers and Customers. You will articulate the company’s technology and product portfolio to both business and technical users, acting in a technical consultancy role. This involves identifying customer requirements, collaborating with Account Managers, consulting with supplier representatives, and supporting sales teams and partners on opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Act as a factory-trained certified expert for the TE sales organization.
- Manage relationships within the contact base and represent TestEquity brands professionally.
- Allocate non-assigned leads, ensuring conversion to opportunities and tracking outcomes.
- Attend customer meetings with Account Managers to determine technical and business requirements.
- Provide professional technical solutions within agreed timeframes.
- Demonstrate products effectively to customers.
- Communicate the company's Core Value Proposition and identify best practices for customer benefit.
- Create and deliver technical presentations internally and externally.
- Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to Account Managers and customers.
- Collaborate with Product Management to provide feedback on current products and input for new products.
- Build productive internal and external relationships, fostering teamwork.
- Understand customer business drivers and risks.
- Sell technical solutions with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Ensure diverse customer appointment scheduling and proactive territory support.
- Understand industry trends affecting customers and identify strategic initiatives.
- Develop and communicate a compelling vision to support strategic initiatives for assigned customers.
- Establish strong customer and team relationships, relating well to people at all levels.
- Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, resolving issues quickly and accurately.
- Achieve project goals consistently.
- Indirectly and directly responsible for product quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred, but not required.
- Engineering degree preferred.
- 2+ years of electronics distribution experience preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with CRM Sales Pipeline/funnel management is a plus.
- Advanced skill in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel are required.
- Prefer previous experience with a major supplier such as Keysight, Tektronix, Keithley, Rohde & Schwarz, Indium, 3M, Desco, Excelta, etc.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
- Ability to meet qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
