About the Role

Under the direction of the Deputy Director and clinical direction by the Medical Director, this role manages all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the clinical team in primary care, specialty care, and laboratory. This includes clinical and administrative supervision, patient scheduling, and monitoring patient flow, all in support of Ryan Health's mission and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise clinical support staff.
  • Oversee daily departmental operations and report unusual occurrences.
  • Monitor patient flow and workload to ensure productivity, quality of care, and patient satisfaction.
  • Screen walk-in patients to determine immediate care needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor support staff schedules.
  • Respond to patient and family complaints and inquiries.
  • Coordinate Prenatal Program activities.
  • Ensure electronic medical information is complete, safe, organized, and confidential.
  • Provide clinical in-service training to Medical Assistants, LPNs, and RNs.
  • Assist in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating grant objectives and developing clinical procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison with community agencies, healthcare providers, and social services.
  • Forecast, administer, and document immunizations.
  • Attend Center meetings, including Quality Improvement, Peer Review, Practitioners, and Supervisors Meetings.
  • Chair monthly nursing meetings.
  • Practice accepted infection control measures.
  • Report problems or unusual occurrences to supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other Clinical Care Managers and provide coverage as needed.
  • Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience in an ambulatory setting (e.g., emergency room, clinic, or health center).
  • Pediatric experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Record Systems.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft environment (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to direct activities in a busy clinical environment.
