About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated activities assistant to join our growing team in Williamsville, NY. Canterbury Woods is a continuing care retirement community dedicated to providing older adults with the best possible living experience, offering a lifestyle that meets their needs and interests.
Responsibilities
- Participates in community planning related to resident interests and needs.
- Coordinates transportation for trips and outings.
- Creates and maintains a warm, positive, and calm environment.
- Participates in resident/group council meetings and provides support.
- Supervises programs as necessary.
- Encourages resident participation in programs.
Requirements
- Experience in organizing, planning, promoting, and directing cultural arts activities is preferred.
- Experience working with a geriatric population is preferred.
