About the Role

Sage Hospitality Group is hiring a Part-time Bartender for Brass Poppy, a new lobby bar at Hotel Van Zandt in Austin, Texas. The bar offers a unique and memorable guest experience with creative drinks and a chic atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
• Ensure quality service and guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest interactions in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner.
• Process guest payments, including cash, credit, and room charges, according to company policies.
• Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists.
• Comply with state liquor laws.
• Maintain established pars.
• Perform all sidework duties according to schedules.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, dish racks, and glass racks weighing 20-40 lbs.
• Ability to push carts, Queen Marys, hotboxes, and portable bars weighing 50-100 lbs.
• Ability to bend to lower cabinets and lift trays.
• Ability to maneuver in narrow areas and between seated guests.
• Ability to stand continuously for 100% of scheduled time.
• Ability to climb approximately 12 steps 20% of the time.
• Ability to read records and follow special requests.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• High organization skills and attention to detail in crowded and noisy situations.
• Ability to use tact and understanding when dealing with customer service problems, including stressful situations.
• Ability to accurately count cash.
• Ability to operate a cash register.
