About the Role
Roto-Rooter is seeking a Skilled Heavy Equipment Operator, specifically with backhoe and mini-excavator experience, for sewer & water service repairs/replacements at our Buffalo, NY branch in West Seneca, New York. Responsibilities
- Operates back-hoe, mini-excavator, skid steers, and/or other excavation machinery to excavate and load loose materials on residential and commercial job sites.
- Loads, unloads, and secures equipment on transport trailers.
- Follows OSHA and Roto-Rooter safety procedures.
- Works collaboratively with a crew to efficiently complete excavation work.
- Interacts with customers, providing excellent customer service.
- Maintains excavation equipment and gathers necessary equipment for tasks.
- Performs excavation work in confined spaces and open trenches, adhering to safety protocols.
- Locates and arrives at job sites promptly, ensuring safe driving of service vehicles.
Requirements
- Construction experience in both residential and commercial projects.
- Possession of a current CDL Class A license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete jobs within specified timelines.
