About the Role

Serves in a provider setting to safeguard people, property, assets, and brand while delivering world-class, affordable care. Acts as a subject matter expert providing security solutions, risk assessments, and investigative support across various security functions to mitigate risks that could disrupt patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides security solutions, alternatives, and recommendations.
  • Conducts risk-based staffing.
  • Provides investigative support.
  • Manages loss prevention.
  • Handles incident reporting and critical notifications.
  • Performs incident analysis.
  • Engages in crime prevention.
  • Conducts risk assessments.
  • Liaises with law enforcement.
  • Provides special event support.
  • Implements workplace violence prevention strategies.

Requirements

  • 12 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Solid expertise in formal/structured security risk assessment methodology.
  • Ability to mitigate risk by synchronizing people, process, and technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of building security staffing models.
  • Experience developing post/patrol strategies.
  • Ability to effectively apply security technologies.
  • Ability to blend program elements with tailored processes to manage risk in a clinical environment.
  • Understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies, and policies.
  • Broad working knowledge of health care operations and their security requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of current and emerging physical security trends, risks, threats, countermeasures, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to work in complex, challenging, and dynamic environments.
