About the Role

Administers medication dispensing with a focus on accuracy and patient education. Responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy department, communicating with prescribers, and counseling patients on health concerns. Participates in patient-centered services like immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM), providing friendly and efficient customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, including record maintenance, third-party adjudication, patient charges, and inventory management.
  • Counsels patients and medical providers on drug usage, dosage, interactions, and side effects.
  • Monitors patient health and progress for compliance and therapy optimization.
  • Participates in patient-centered services including immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.
  • Supervises pharmacy personnel, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Provides guidance and training to pharmacy interns, technicians, and associates.
  • Uses professional judgment to provide exemplary service within the pharmacist's scope of practice.
  • Participates in business development activities in the store and community.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety.
  • Maintains a neat, clean, and organized workstation and department facilities.
  • Completes required continuing education programs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.
  • Immunization Certification or agreement to complete.
  • Ability to communicate effectively: verbal, written and electronic.

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must submit to DL Monitoring.
  • Some overnight hotel stays required.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
