About the Role
Relativity is hiring a Senior Product Manager to oversee platform capabilities powering RelativityOne, focusing on automation, security, cloud-native infrastructure, and AI extensibility. This role involves defining product direction, establishing success metrics, and collaborating with engineering and stakeholders to deliver resilient, secure, and scalable platform solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, a customer-centric approach, excellent communication skills, and experience leading through influence.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and backlog, sequencing work based on customer impact, technical dependencies, and business priorities.
- Define and uphold the standard for 'done' across all product lifecycle stages.
- Engage customers and internal consumers early and often through structured discovery to validate and drive the roadmap.
- Make and communicate transparent, documented scope decisions, determining what ships, what is a future bet, and what is out.
- Drive velocity while maintaining quality standards for platform reliability.
- Apply appropriate product management models based on the product's current stage (discovery vs. adoption).
- Define platform capabilities considering developers and end-users, prioritizing long-term stability in decisions like versioning, access control, and API design.
- Design for human-in-the-loop interactions in AI-driven workflows, permission management, and automation pipelines.
- Treat trust as a product foundation, integrating security, auditability, and governance as core design constraints.
- Utilize AI capabilities in prototyping, research, spec drafting, and customer insight to increase speed and model this for the team.
- Define scalable platform patterns and governance boundaries in collaboration with engineering and architecture.
- Translate technical platform concepts into narratives that resonate with developers, domain experts, and buyers.
- Develop customer-facing documentation, enablement guides, and release notes, and package best practices from early adopters.
- Act as a liaison across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams, aligning stakeholders and removing blockers.
- Define and track key metrics, including adoption, migration progress, platform reliability, and time to first successful integration.
- Communicate progress, risks, and needs clearly to leadership, engineering partners, and customers.
Requirements
- 7+ years in software product management with ownership across multiple product lifecycle stages.
- Demonstrated ability to define scope under uncertainty, make prioritization calls, and ship products with customers.
- Experience with developer-facing or platform-facing products (APIs, SDKs, extension frameworks, security primitives, cloud infrastructure) with measurable adoption.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platform architecture (Azure preferred) and technical discussions around distributed systems, platform APIs, and cloud-native design.
- Working knowledge of AI-enabled platform patterns and their reliability and governance constraints.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern delivery practices, including AI-powered SDLC environments.
- Data-driven approach to setting goals, monitoring product health, and making decisions.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Active user of AI tools for prototyping, research synthesis, spec drafting, and accelerating work.
- Experience mentoring junior product managers.
