About the Role
Perform preventative maintenance and ensure proper operations of VLTs and ETGs in land-based gaming environments. This customer-facing role involves diagnostic tests, software settings, functional testing, and adhering to strict gaming commission and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform Preventative maintenance on VLT’s (Video Lottery Terminals), ETG’s (Electronic Table Games), and equipment, keeping in accordance with Gaming Commission and company standards and specifications.
- Ensure proper operations of the VLT’s, and ETG’s via diagnostic tests, software settings, and functional testing.
- Navigate Management Terminal (MT) daily to verify VLT status.
- Where applicable, assemble and prepare accessories for installations per change order.
- Complete accurate Incident Reports in accordance with the Gaming Commission and company standards.
- Complete required maintenance records in a clear and precise manner.
- Complete detailed daily/weekly tech logs.
- Adhere to L&W's Field Service established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Follow L&W's safety procedures (vehicle safety, loading games, ladder use, and electricity).
- Ensures all tools and equipment used are kept in proper, safe, and working condition.
- Stay current with all Light & Wonder Field Advisories and eLearning.
- Review customer issues with management, and technical lead as they arise.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Able to obtain and maintain gaming licenses as required.
- Perform basic troubleshooting techniques in isolating and correcting problems down to an assembly level.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis for short distances.
- Transport heavy equipment using proper moving devices.
- Demonstrate safe and proper use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand Light & Wonder schematics and service manuals.
- Able to prepare conversion projects or installations with limited or no supervision.
- Ability to maintain good customer relations, both internally and externally.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- If working in the field, production, and/or warehouse, it is mandatory to use the approved Personal Protective Equipment.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming type devices.
- Basic understanding of network communication, and network troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of PC operation, and security risks relating to PC operation.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
- Basic knowledge of current Light & Wonder gaming devices to the assembly level.
- Good problem-solving skills.

Experience Level
- One year experience in the assembly, testing, and repair of electronic gaming devices, or six months experience and related gaming school certificate of completion, or equivalent.
Education Level
- High school diploma or equivalency.
Salary/Compensations
- $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
- Eligibility to receive other supplemental earnings such as over-time.
