About the Role

Ensures timely, accurate, and reliable administration of physical therapy services. Provides treatments for hospital-based inpatient/outpatient services or outpatient clinic services, including record-keeping and billing. Maintains service delivery standards focused on customer satisfaction, quality, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides physical therapy treatments for hospital-based inpatient and/or outpatient services or outpatient clinic services.
  • Completes associated treatment records, progress notes, and billing information.
  • Maintains specific service delivery standards addressing commitment to service, customer satisfaction, ongoing evaluation of customer expectations, integration with quality process, communication and interaction standards, turn-around time and information processing standards, corporate compliance requirements, and physical amenities/environment of care.
  • Cleans treatment tables and rooms after patient use.
  • Participates in staff meetings, in-services, and other educational activities.
  • Consults with the Physical Therapist regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment that may warrant re-evaluation or alteration of the treatment plan or goals.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program or equivalent with Associate’s of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Licensed or license-eligible by NY state as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • CPR certification within the first three months of employment.
