About the Role
Manage moderate to high-severity commercial liability claims involving toxic torts, latent injuries, and class action litigation, including complex coverage and litigated issues. Provide technical claims service, identify and mitigate risks, and deliver valuable industry insights. Requires significant policy interpretation, coverage analysis, vendor management, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Manage each claim from assignment through resolution with moderate direction.
- Provide technical claims service on mostly litigated matters of moderate to high-severity and complexity.
- Identify and mitigate risks.
- Deliver valuable industry insights.
- Perform policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
- Retain and manage counsel and other vendors.
- Collaborate with internal and external contacts, including underwriters, customers, and brokers.
- Negotiate and resolve claims.
- Manage all communications and reporting during the life of a claim.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims and/or Litigation Management area.
- Juris Doctor and 2 or more years of experience in the Claims and/or Litigation Management area.
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an associate degree with 6 or more years of experience in the Claims and/or Litigation Management area.
- Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims and/or Litigation Management area.
- High School Diploma Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims and/or Litigation Management area.
- Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s).
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products.

- Short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%
