About the Role
The AVP, Compliance Process & Controls Analyst supports ownership of Compliance-owned Level 3 (L3) processes, oversees risk and control documentation, manages downstream Compliance activities from Process Universe changes, and serves as the primary point of contact for Compliance's participation in the company’s Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process. This role is part of the Compliance Program & Initiatives (CPI) team within the second line of defense (2LOD) Compliance organization and may support broader Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA) activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain or create new Compliance-owned L3 processes in eGRC, including documentation of Process, Risk, and Control (PRCs).
- Lead coordination with other Compliance teams to periodically refresh PRC documentation per the RCSA process.
- Provide regular oversight of Compliance Program & Initiatives (CPI)-owned controls and partner with CPI leaders to ensure timely and efficient execution.
- Identify back-ups for ongoing business continuity for control execution.
- Maintain evidence of key control performance for audit/exam purposes.
- Ensure controls remain relevant to mitigate associated risks.
- Coordinate with CPI leaders to recommend enhancements and opportunities to leverage AI for more efficient control performance.
- Actively participate and represent Compliance in the Process Universe Working Group (PUWG).
- Analyze monthly approved PUWG changes and initiate workflows for Compliance Risk Oversight SMEs to take action on new, retired, merged, or split L3 processes.
- Ensure Compliance Risk Oversight SMEs complete PUWG-driven workflow activities in a timely manner and provide support.
- Collaborate with Compliance leaders to ensure timely and efficient reassignment of L3 process oversight due to organizational changes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Compliance's participation in the Company’s ongoing RCSA process.
- Coordinate with the Compliance Leadership Team (CLT) to confirm first line of defense (1LOD) processes for Compliance Risk Oversight SMEs to credibly challenge during quarterly RCSA refresh.
- Collaborate with the RCSA team to stay abreast of RCSA strategic changes and ensure proper support and training for SMEs.
- Communicate ongoing RCSA strategic changes to the CRA Leader.
- Conduct periodic reviews of “Key CTCs” in preparation for annual CRA activities.
- Collaborate with the RCSA team to establish standards for Key Controls.
- Support responses to documentation requests from regulators, Internal Audit, and other governance stakeholders.
- Create and maintain procedures and job aids for responsibilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve/enhance eGRC capabilities for owned responsibilities.
- Coordinate with CRA Leader to submit eGRC enhancement requests for prioritization.
- Support and assist with broader CRA team activities and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in governance, risk, and controls within a financial institution; or in lieu of a degree, 5–7+ years of relevant financial services experience in governance, risk, and controls.
- Experience using risk/compliance tools and reporting solutions (e.g., eGRC, SharePoint, Tableau, or similar platforms).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with workflow/automation tools (e.g., PowerApp) preferred.
- Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process.
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.
- Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.
- Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.
- All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Salary/Compensations
- 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual
- Eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
- Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
- Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
