About the Role

Join Kitware's computer vision team to develop robust solutions for real-world problems, contributing expertise in computer vision and/or machine learning to projects focused on 3D reconstruction, object detection, image manipulation detection, and motion pattern learning. Interact directly with customers, participate in field tests, and publish open-source software.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement large-scale software frameworks for cutting-edge research algorithms across diverse environments.
  • Take a leadership role in maintaining quality open-source software on platforms like GitHub and GitLab.
  • Have opportunities to learn about emerging topics in computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 5 years of experience or a Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant subject matter with 3 years of experience.
  • Significant C++ experience.
  • Python experience.
  • Experience integrating 3rd party libraries.
  • Experience with distributed processing/computing.
  • Experience designing and implementing complex software systems.
  • Experience optimizing code.
  • Leadership experience reviewing and overseeing others’ code development.
  • Some experience in other programming languages, especially Python.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to apply for and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance if not already cleared.
