About the Role

ASR International is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Specialist to support core duties such as recruitment, onboarding, record maintenance, and labor compliance support. The role focuses on executing daily human resources tasks, managing designated talent acquisition, data administration, and employee support tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Update personnel files and workforce data accurately inside the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Ensure company operations follow local, state, and federal labor regulations.
  • Answer routine staff questions regarding health plans, paid time off, or compensation changes.
  • Manage company health, dental, vision, disability, and voluntary benefit plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment activities.
  • Work with Human Resources and benefits providers to communicate plan changes and employee options.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, SCA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Post open positions, screen resumes, coordinate interview schedules, and manage candidate communications.
  • Facilitate new-hire orientations, collect necessary compliance documents, and process exit paperwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in an HR or administrative support role or related functions.
  • Experience with government contracting or government support roles is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • High level of confidentiality, strong organization, detail orientation, and clear verbal/written communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Experience with Service Contract Act (SCA) compliance and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting government contractors or professional services firms.
  • Experience managing multi-state insurance programs and employee benefit plans.
  • Candidate must clear a background check and agree to/sign confidentiality requirements.
