About the Role

Paragon Prep is seeking a full-time Elementary Spanish Teacher to teach students in PreK through sixth grade. You will deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction that develops Spanish speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural awareness. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator who builds strong student relationships, differentiates instruction across grade levels, and creates an organized, inclusive classroom where language learning is accessible and meaningful.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate Spanish lessons using visual, audio, digital, interactive, and hands-on resources.
  • Differentiate individual and small-group instruction based on student needs, proficiency, and progress.
  • Create instructional materials, assignments, assessments, and supplemental resources.
  • Assess student performance, maintain accurate records, and provide timely grades and feedback.
  • Establish clear expectations and maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom.
  • Communicate with families and collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school leadership.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, professional development, school events, field trips, and cultural activities.
  • Monitor student well-being and follow school policies, safety procedures, educational guidelines, and mandated-reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, World Languages, or a related field required.
  • Teaching certification or applicable education certificate preferred.
  • At least three years of classroom teaching experience required.
  • Spanish teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level.
  • Spanish-language proficiency sufficient to provide comprehensive instruction.
  • Knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment, differentiation, classroom management, and language-instruction best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • A creative, energetic, student-centered approach with strong integrity and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of CPR and emergency-response procedures.
  • Ability to work in person at the school campus.
  • Frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Often carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend.
  • Regularly hear and use clear vision with or without correction.
