About the Role
The Players Trust Intern will gain valuable insight into the management of a non-profit organization uniquely associated with the Major League and Minor League Players Association. The intern will support the team on various activities relating to programming, community engagement, Player research, marketing, and data entry and reporting, with opportunities to attend select meetings.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the Players Trust’s Double Play Matching Gifts program during the Season of Giving.
- Collaborate with Players Trust staff to prepare PowerPoint presentations, supporting materials, and other resources for meetings.
- Conduct research and prepare briefing materials on Players, nonprofit organizations, corporate prospects, and emerging trends in philanthropy.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate records in the Players Trust’s CRM.
- Compile and analyze data related to the Trust’s philanthropic programs and initiatives.
- Develop clear, data-driven reports to evaluate program effectiveness, improve processes, and track progress toward organizational goals.
- Record and distribute notes and meeting minutes for select internal meetings.
- Support the development of internal and external communications, including newsletters, social media content, and other written materials.
- Monitor and manage merchandise, supplies, and inventory.
- Perform day-to-day administrative responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current graduate student or recent college graduate.
- Flexible, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter who can work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and clearly communicate key findings and outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Prior experience in the nonprofit sector preferred.
